Silver Painting (7) – Taiwanese Souvenir

Although only silver and some non-toxic metals were used, colored paintings were obtained. As shown in the following two pictures, colored cocks crowed valiantly were painted on ceramic tiles.

Silver Painting (6) – Silver-metal Painting

Owing to more than 95% silver was used to paint a picture, hence I name it as silver painting or silver-metal painting. As shown in the following picture, a koi was drawn on a yellow ceramic tile, resulted its coloration and patterning were kept.

Silver Painting (5) – Souvenir

Mr. Hsu, my student, publishes a new book regarding to his military service at Itu Aba Island (Taiping Island) today. It is the largest island in South China Sea, The island is elliptical in shape being 1.4 Km in length. Give him a souvenir, as shown in the following picture, I drew the island and his parting day to this island by using silver and a minor of non-toxic metals.

Silver Painting (4) – Taiwan Souvenir

“A children thanks to Goddess of Mercy (Guanyin)” was incorporated into a Chinese “Buddha” character, which was fabricated on a black ceramic-tile by using of silver and palladium. As shown in the following picture, this is a hybridization of painting and Chinese calligraphy.
